This week, it came out that Israel, in a joint project with the United States, was responsible for the Stuxnet virus which has put a major delay in the Iranian nuclear effort. I was wondering when Israel, or someone, was going to attack Iran. Instead of a dangerous military operation, with a limited probability of full success, some of the best programmers in the world planned a cyber attack.
This was a real military attack. It was a high profile act of international espionage through the world’s computer networks. I don’t know exactly how the virus entered Bushir, but turning the plant on as scheduled could be incredibly dangerous.
The Russian nuclear scientists assisting with the development of the Iranian program have gone so far as to say that turning on Bushir could lead to the same devastating results as Chernobyl.
I hope that Ahmadinejad and Khameni don’t put millions of lives at risk by turning on this reactor. I hope that this virus has the will shut down Iran’s nuclear ambitions for good.
