In general, Israel has done a lot for all immigrants, including Ethiopians.

Whether it’s enough is open to interpretation. For some, nothing is ever enough. Sometimes expectations are simply too high.

I accept that integration into Israeli society is difficult – more difficult for some than others. I’ve lived here for 25 years and have never fully integrated – and never will. Anglo Saxons also suffer from discrimination. It ‘s just that it’s expressed differently.

There are always tensions and difficulities between groups of different ethnic origins. Anything else would be abnormal. Legislation is never a solution.

Many Ethiopians have suceeded, and live a comparitively good life. Some haven’t.

The problem is, where does the State’s responsibility end and personal responsibility begin?
