The United States has taken notice of a regular flight between Tehran, Damascus, and Caracas. The “commercial flight” run by Venezuelan Canviasa Airlines is closed to the public, and no public records are available for who or what is on the flight. It seems that no one goes through customs or immigration when they travel on [...]

I have written about Iran on this blog in 293 posts. The first mention of Iran on this site was on July 14, 2006. The first mention of Iran seeking nuclear weapons was on December 12, 2007. It has been about two and a half years since that time, and Israel and the United States have made no real actions to stop Iran from having a nuclear program.

Iran has dispatched its own flotilla to the Gaza Strip, and few seem to be worried about the intentions of the Iranian crew.

The recent Gaza flotilla raid, which saw Israeli security forces killing 9 Turkish activists aboard the Marvi Marmara, has put Israel’s relationship with Turkey under the spotlight. The anti-Israeli rhetoric by Turkish prime minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and the waves of anti-Israel protests that followed the incident aboard the Turkish ship all seem to ignore [...]

We regularly read about new sanctions intended to deter Iran’s nuclear program. The United States has been battling in the United Nations to get the new sanctions in place for quite a while now. We do not, however, often read about the Plan B, Plan C, and Plan D that the White House has been quietly planning.

The two sides of the issue are still being drawn, but Israel has gained a key supporter in the response to the Flotilla incident.

Iran accepted a deal that was the most backhanded compliment to international relations I have seen in recent history. Iran has agreed to send the half of its uranium supply, all low enriched uranium, to Turkey.
