Hamas official Abdullah Barghouti told the Nazareth District court that he would continue terrorist activities if released from prison.
Barghouti is serving 67 life sentences for murdering 66 Israelis and acting as an accomplice for many, many more. Hamas put him on a prisoner exchange list to release Gilad Shalit.
“If there is a deal, I would be set free along with Marwan Barghouti and Ahmad Sa’adat… After my release, I will continue to fight for Palestine, so long as the occupation continues.”
Barghouti is a terrorist. He has vowed to kill more innocent Israelis if he is let out of prison. His release should not be considered an option. Prime Minister Benajamin Netanyahu, along with many supporters, have said that Israel is willing to negotiate with Hamas to secure Gilad Shalit’s release. A short list of the terrorists have committed crimes so heinous that they should stay where they are and they belong, in prison.
A representative of the Almagor Terror Victims’ Association, a group of terror victims and family members of those killed by Palestinian terror attacks, said it just right:
“The statements by the murderer of 60 Israelis emphasize the dangers of releasing hundreds of terrorists convicted of murdering innocent Israelis.”
