On the eve of new peace talks between Israel and the Palestinian Authority, Palestinian terrorists have murdered four Israelis while driving in Kiryat Arbanear Hebron. The four killed were residents of Beit Hagai.
The two couples in the car were fired on from a distance by multiple terrorists. After the initial fire stopped, a single terrorist approached the vehicle and fired on the four people at close range. The younger woman in the car, 25 years old, was pregnant.
Of course, Hamas supporters, many of which are “innocent civilians,” celebrated the murders.
I believe, along with many others, that the attacks were specifically carried out to undermine the peace process that is set to resume after a long lapse. While Israel has held out its hand for quite some time looking to resume negotiations with no preconditions, PA President Abbas resisted until a recent US invitation. Either way, it appears that the Palestinians may not follow Abbas’ lead if some compromise is reached.
It is truly sad when innocent people are killed simply because the Palestinians want us gone from all of Israel. My prayers and thoughts are with the families of those murdered in this senseless attack.
