I have written about Iran on this blog in 293 posts. The first mention of Iran on this site was on July 14, 2006. The first mention of Iran seeking nuclear weapons was on December 12, 2007. It has been about two and a half years since that time, and Israel and the United States have made no real actions to stop Iran from having a nuclear program.
As I said yesterday, Russia is starting work to activate the first Iranian nuclear reactor, which is located in Bushir. John Bolton, former US ambassador to the United Nations, noticed this alarming event. He said that Israel is sitting on a tipping point. It may already be too late for a reaction.
Israel has days to launch a military strike against Iran’s Bushehr nuclear facility and stop Tehran from acquiring a functioning atomic plant, a former US envoy to the UN has said.
Iran is to bring online its first nuclear power reactor, built with Russia’s help, on August 21, when a shipment of nuclear fuel will be loaded into the plant’s core.
At that point, John Bolton warned Monday, it will be too late for Israel to launch a military strike against the facility because any attack would spread radiation and affect Iranian civilians.
“Once that uranium, once those fuel rods are very close to the reactor, certainly once they’re in the reactor, attacking it means a release of radiation, no question about it,” Bolton told Fox Business Network.
Do you think it is too late for Israel to react? If they do, and follow Bolton’s logic, an Israeli attack on Bushir is imminent and will take place in the next four days. Or, is it more important, at the moment, to focus on the border with Lebanon, where Hezbollah terrorists appear to be arming and preparing for a new war with Israel.
It is a tough day to be Prime Minister of Israel. The fate of a nation lies with Benjamin Netanyahu, and I hope he makes the right choices so Israel, and the Jewish people, remain safe from this existential threat.
