Israeli Navy Kills Four Aqua-Terrorists

by Eric on June 7, 2010

The Israeli military has successfully prevented a terrorist attack in process by the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigade in Gaza.  In a much less publicized success story than the recent flotilla incident, four terrorists were killed and a fifth was injured.

The Israeli Navy approached a small boat “a few hundred meters” off of the Gaza coast due to suspicious activity.  As they approached, they found that four men were in the water and one was on the boat.  Following the appropriate directive, the Israelis opened fire and killed the targets.

An investigation proved that the four men were in the process of carrying out an attack.  It seems that they planned to swim around the Gaza border fence and into Israel before traveling farther inland for an attack.  YNet reports:

Security officials said the incident is just another example of the efforts by armed Palestinian organizations to seek alternative ways to attack Israel’s home front due to the tight security along the Israel-Gaza border fence.

Despite what anti-Semitic media outlets say, I applaud the IDF for another job well done.
