Israel to Allow All Non-Military Goods into Gaza

Since the infamous Flotilla incident, international pressure on Israel to change the Gaza naval blockade and import restrictionshas been immense.  Israel has responded in a way that will prove to the world that Hamas is the enemy of the Palestinians, not Israel.

The Israeli government now intends to allow all goods into Gaza with the exception of weapons, items that can be used to build weapons, and items that can be used for fortification.  The goods will be allowed in exclusively through land border crossings.  The full naval blockade is still in effect.

From now on, any suffering in Gaza is at the hands of Hamas.  While I would argue that has been the case for over three years, there is no dispute that Israel has taken firm steps to make the lives of civilians easier while attempting to keep weapons out of the hands of enemies.
