Lebanese Attack Starbucks In Beirut

by Eric on February 11, 2010

A group of Lebanese protesters rioters entered a Starbucks in Beirut and shouted anti-Israel comments and accused the company of being pro-Israel.

Howard Shultz, the man responsible for Starbucks phenomenal international success, is Jewish and supports Israel.

Demonstrators tried to block the entrance to the shop, thereby causing customers inside to flee. The protesters said they targeted the store because they claim that Howard Schultz, the company’s CEO, chairman and president, donates money to the Israeli military.

I was unable to find any evidence of Shultz donating to the Israeli military, but he has made public comments supporting Israel in the past.
