U.S May Support Unilateral Palestinian State at U.N

Reader Elizabeth passed on an interesting article from World Net Daily about Palestinian attempts to gain US support in declaring a new state unilaterally.

The Palestinian Authority has been putting out feelers on what responses would be should they bring a resolution to the UN Security Counsel declaring a new state in Judea and Samaria.  The United States has not made an official statement or taken an official position yet, but PA negotiator Saeb Erekat said that the US has not committed to vetoing such a resolution.

When I think of a unilateral state, I fondly think back to Petoria, a micronation in our very own Quohog, Rhode Island.

Yes, I take the PA as seriously as Family Guy, sort of.  I mean, Peter Griffin has never tried to attack Israel, so I guess they are a little more serious.
