It has been nearly a year since Operation Cast Lead, the Israeli military operation aimed to end Hamas rocket attacks against Israelis. In that year, while rocket attacks have slowed, reports show that the anti-Semitic terrorist group has acquired more and more advanced weapons.
The reports indicate that Hamas now has rockets that can hit Tel Aviv and penetrate heavy tank armor. This should be a wake up call for Israeli defense officials. Rather than wait around while Hamas attacked like Ehud Olmert, Benjamin Netanyahu should take the initiative, if deemed necessary, to wipe out the weapon stashes before innocent people are killed.
