Hugo Chavez and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad have something in common: they both hate the United States. In sharing their mutual hatred, the Venezuelan and Iranian leaders have built strong bonds between their two countries.
In the past, investigations have shown that Iran is sending terrorist weapons around the world on Venezuelan planes. It also seems that Venezuela is harboring known terrorists in its borders. Now it looks like Venezuela is allowing weapons production and is going to begin shipping gasoline to Iran.
Iran is investing in Venezuela and helping to develop international banking deals between the two countries. The countries have what amounts to a defensive pact, which would bring Venezuela into any armed conflict against Iran. Venezuela also has large uranium deposits, which are useful for Iran’s nuclear ambitions.
The self proclaimed “Axis of Unity” between Venezuela and Iran is a threat to both Israel and the United States. The countries control vast oil reseves and have the ability to create nuclear weapons with pooled resources. They both hate the West and have teamed up to arm Israel’s worst enemies.
The biggest threat here is that Iran will become better equipped for a war with Israel and Venezuela will provide a remote arm for Iran to operate near the United States. I wonder if anyone will notice?
