Saudis To Aqurie Nuclear Technology

Asharq al-Aswat, a UK based Arabic daily, reports that French Prime Minister Nicolas Sarkozy plans to travel to Saudi Arabia in November to sign a peaceful nuclear program agreement.

I would rather have a nuclear Saudi Arabia than a nuclear Iran, but neither prospect thrills me.  It will be good to see a more moderate Muslim nation, if you can call Saudi Arabia moderate, balance the power struggle between Iran and its Arab neighbors in the Middle East.
