Defense Minister Ehud Barak gave the order to remove 100 roadblocks around the West Bank. The roadblocks, built during the 2nd Intifada, were intended to give Israel an extra layer of security in preventing terrorist bombings.

My favorite writer/director was in Tel Aviv for the Israel premier of Inglorious Basterds, a movie about a Jewish army group who’s primary goal is “killin’ Nazis.” Here is a video of Quentin Tarantino speaking to an Israeli crowd.

Hamas has denied a request by the family of Gilad Shalit to deliver a care package to the kidnapped Israeli soldier. Gilad has been held captive by Hamas since June, 2006.
