The Washington Post wrote a lengthy article about Israel’s multi-tiered missile defense system.

Israel is steadily assembling one of the world’s most advanced missile defense systems, a multi-layered collection of weapons meant to guard against a variety of threats, including the shorter-range Grads used to strike Israeli towns like [Ashkelon] and intercontinental rockets.

The article is worth reading for military and security buffs.  It is good to know that despite all of the crap going on with Iran and the US that Israel is actively doing something to protect its people.
