Is Netanyahu Hardline? Is Abbas Moderate?

Everyone calls Benjamin Netanyahu words like “shrewd” and “hardliner” and “right wing.” Mahmoud Abbas, President of the PA and primary Palestinian leader in the West Bank is called “moderate.” Those terms are very much respective to their peers. Compared to other Israelis, Bibi might be hard line, but he is moderate in the scheme of things. Compared to Hamas, Abbas is moderate, but is fairly extremist in the scheme of things.
