Swine Flu is Happening Because People Don’t Keep Kosher

The Kosher laws that say people should not eat any pig or pork products. If you are Jewish, Christian, or Muslim, you believe that message came from God. Christianity eliminated that for some reason, though I never heard of God telling a profit that it does not count anymore. Mexico, a Catholic country, is in the lineage of people that should keep Kosher.

In Mexico, as much of the world, pigs are raised for eating. Pig products are found in many candies (marshmallows, Starburst, and Skittles to name a few), pet foods, and meats or meat products intended for human consumption. I don’t eat them, but they exist.

Swine flu was transmitted from pig to pig as a pig only disease for many years. The flu virus family, which Swine flu is a part of, can adapt and change quickly. Like the bird flu, Swine Flu adapted in a way that it could be transmitted to human.

Somewhere, a live pig and a human had to be in close proximity for the virus to make the leap. Because people do not spend much time with wild pigs, this interaction likely took place at a pig breeding facility that raised pigs for human consumption. If people did not eat pigs, those facilities would not exist. If those facilities did not exist, the Swine Flu pandemic that we are all reading about in the news would not be taking place.

Unlike many controversial Israeli Rabbis, I am not going to say Hurricane Katrina or similar natural disasters were God’s revenge. I will say, however, that if we all listened to Gods commandment not to eat pork, Swine Flu would not be an issue today.

However, it is an issue, and at least one Israeli is infected. Two more are suspected to have contracted the disease, being called “Mexican Flu” by some religious Jews in Israel. It has not made it to my home state yet, but it is just across the border. Stay safe everyone. It is too late for everyone to prevent the disease by keeping Kosher, but it is not late for everyone to start keeping Kosher to prevent Shellfish Flu or whatever is in store next.
