Our Buddy Abbas Won’t Recognize Israel as Jewish

by Eric on April 28, 2009

Benjamin Netanyahu made a fair demand of PA/PLO President Mahmoud Abbas. Bibi asked the “moderate” Palestinian leader to recognize Israel as Jewish as a condition of recognizing a new Palestinian state. Abbas said no, as is outlined in the article Abbas Rejects Calling Israel a Jewish State.

So, what is Israel to do? The hypocrisies of the Palestinians are eating away at the prospects of a fair peace process. Unlike his predecessor, however, Benjamin Netanyahu will not be bullied into moving forward in an unfair process. Bibi will wait until things are right for both sides.
