Labor Votes To Join Netanyahu Government

by Eric on March 24, 2009

A convention of Labor party members voted 58% in favor of joining the Likud led government. A mixed crowd of cheers and boos listened to a proposal by party chair Ehud Barak.

Barak cited the economy as the major reason for signing on. He expects that Labor will be given high ranking ministerial positions. He also said that he is not afraid of Bibi and will not be coerced by the right wing government.
