Israel Closes West Bank for Purim

by Eric on March 9, 2009

The IDF has closed West Bank checkpoints for three days. Palestinians will be unable to enter “Israel proper” from the West Bank due to Purim security concerns.

During Purim businesses and schools close and many people take to the streets to sing, dance, and drink in celebration of the holiday. Ever since the Passover Seder terrorists attack during the Intifada the IDF has been more diligent to prevent attacks on Jewish holiday celebrations.
