Israel Attacked Sudan in January

by Eric on March 27, 2009

It just came out yesterday that Israel was involved in an air strike over Sudan in January. The United States has confirmed that the attack took place, but Israel has remained largely silent on the issue.

The attack took place on a caravan of vehicles holding weapons bound for Gaza. The weapons were on a route through Sudan on the way to Egypt and Gaza.

Reports say that the cargo was capable of a strike from Gaza to Tel Aviv. That would explain why Israel deemed an air attack was necessary. US intelligence officials say the cargo came from Iran.

The attack on the large convoy destroyed dozens of trucks and killed dozens of terrorists.

I applaud Israel on taking this daring mission to keep Israelis safe.
