Rocket Attacks Increase

by Eric on February 19, 2009

Since Wednesday night, at least seven rockets and mortars have been fired into Israel from Gaza. Of those, two were longer range Grad rockets that landed near Netivot.

Israel has moved against several smuggling tunnels near Rafah in the last few days. Hopefully Egypt will actually do something to help deal with this problem. There were no Palestinian casualties from the IAF strikes on the tunnels.

Also in the last day, Israelis killed a Palestinian man planting a bomb near the Keren Shalom border crossing.
