Leaders of the Muslim world have again united against Israel. 200 Muslim clerics met in Istanbul over the weekend to plan out a new jihad against Israel.
The Islamic terrorist supporters cite the recent Gaza operation as a reasoning for their renewed militant speech against Israel. I think they have just been waiting for an opportunity, as Islamic hatred of Israel is not new.
While the Muslim world is divided on many issues, as can be seen in Iraq and Afghanistan/Pakistan, it is united in one aspect. One of the organizers of the anti-Israel conference said that “during the past 100 years relations have been strained but Palestine has brought us together.”
A Saudi Islamic scholar was quoted by the BBC saying that Gaza “gives us power, it solves our differences. We are all now in a unified front against Zionism.”
This is more or less an admonition that anti-Semitism is all that can unite the Muslims.
