I want to start by saying that we love your comments. Reader interaction is one of the most rewarding aspects of blogging. Without you, there would be no reason for this blog to exist!
The Israel Situation has had a big increase in comments over the last few weeks, and I wanted to lay out the rules for commenting. I have deleted a few comments, and the following rules will explain why:
1. Blatant anti-Semitism is not tolerated. Any anti-Semitic posts will be swiftly deleted.
2. Comments that imply Israel does not have a right to exist will be deleted.
3. It is okay to criticize Israeli decisions and politicians. However, remember rules 1 and 2 when criticizing. There is a thin line between criticism and anti-Semitism.
4. It is encouraged to disagree with the post. If you think we are wrong, let us know. Expect a reply in the comments. We like conversing with the readers.
5. If we miss something in a post, please point it out. We are not perfect (though we do try).
6. Comments are not moderated and we do not require sign up. If these rules are broken, we reserve the right to delete comments, ban IP addresses from commenting, and enable moderation or sign up.
Please, keep the comments constructive. We like feedback and controversy, but do not attack us or our country. Ideas are up for discussion and debate. Maybe a well constructed argument will even change our minds!
Thanks for the great comments. Please keep it up!
