Will Shalit Ever Be Rescued?

by Eric on January 11, 2009

Gliad Shalit was kidnapped on June 25, 2006.  For two and a half years, he has been held captive by Hamas somewhere in Gaza.image  Israelis and Jews around the world have united in support for his safe return to his family in Israel, but will it ever happen?

Unfortunately, I believe no.  I suspect his fate is the same as his comrades kidnapped and murdered in the North around the same time.

The recent military operation in Gaza has further divided Israelis and Hamas, and I suspect Hamas killed Shalit as a form of collective punishment to Israel.

I hope he is still alive and returns home, but I am not optimistic on our chances.

What do you all think?  Do you think Shalit will make it home alive?
