Operation Tefillah, Torah, and Troop

by Eric on January 8, 2009

Aish HaTorah has launched a world wide effort to support IDF soldiers in the field. The operation, headed by the Chief Rabbi of Rechovot and the Bostoner Rebbe of Har Nof, aims to support our IDF troops through Judaism and spirituality as the war in the South continues.

The plan pairs up each volunteer (like you) with a soldier. You are then charged to learn and pray on their behalf.

50,000 people participated in the 2006 initiative by the same name in support of Israeli troops in Lebanon.

From their press release:

To participate in “Operation Tefillah, Torah & Troops” and receive the
name of an Israeli soldier who needs your prayers, send an e-mail to the
office of Rabbi Kook at maortlmo@gmail.com. To request the name of a
soldier by phone or fax, call the National Council of Young Israel at
212-929-1525 x100, or send a fax to 212-727-9526. Members of the IDF
who wish to have a “partner” praying for them are urged to e-mail the
office of Rabbi Kook as well.
