Israel Expels Venezuelan Ambasador

by Eric on January 29, 2009

Israel has responded to one of the many nations that have taken diplomatic steps against Israel since Operation Cast Lead started a month ago.

Venezuela forced all Israeli diplomatic personnel out of the country. The Latin American country cut all diplomatic ties with Israel.

Israel has now responded in kind. Venezuela’s diplomat has been asked to leave. The Foreign Minister’s office made the announcement on Wednesday. Venezuelan officials said that the move was too late and weak.

I suspect Israel was busy with other things and did not care about Venezuelan diplomats while at war on the Gaza border.
