Israel Announces Cease Fire Beginning at 2:00am

by Eric on January 17, 2009

Israel’s cabinet has announced a unilateral cease fire starting tonight at 2:00am Israel time. That will bring Operation Cast Lead to an end. While the operation will be over, the IDF plans to remain in Gaza until rocket fire ends.

We will see how Hamas reacts in the next day or so. Do you think it was a good idea for Israel to call an end to the operation even though rocket attacks have continued through the entire operation?
