Iran May Have Nuclear Bomb in 2009

by Eric on January 3, 2009

The Israeli diplomat to the United States made a startling announcement regarding Iran’s nuclear program. It appears that Iran will be able to build a nuclear bomb in 2009.

Reports have surfaced that Iran is now creating weapons grade uranium at a rate of 2.5 kilograms per day, with a stockpile of 630 kilograms of low enriched uranium already produced.

The CIA says a weapon is likely in 2015, but other sources say a relatively low power, taking the term “low power” with a grain of salt, nuclear weapon will be within reach sometime in 2009.

Israeli diplomat Sallai Meridor had an interview with Newsweek regarding Iranian nuclear power. He said that while the Gaza events are more timely, Iran is, and continues to be, a much greater threat.
