For Those of You Who Say Israel Is Disproportionate

Israel was attacked constantly for over three years before acting.  Thousands of rockets and mortars have been fired into Israel from Gaza since the painful withdrawal of 2005.  Since that summer, Hamas has not stopped attacks on Israel.

Under the international law that anti-Israel anti-Semites constantly quote, attacking a sovereign state across their border is a declaration of war.  It does not matter if it is a nation’s military or some nut with a bazooka, it is a declaration of war.

Hamas declared war on Israel, under international law, in 2005.  Lebanon declared war last week.  That is “international law”.  Israel waited for over three years for Hamas to get things under control.  Either they could not or did not want to stop the attacks, so Israel is defending itself.

As I have said, if Canada or Mexico attacked the United States, no one would question a response.  If Russia attacked China, the world would expect a Chinese response.  If any country is attacked, other than Israel, they are doing the right thing.

So, anti-Semites of the world, I know you will not stop attacking Israel.  However, we will not stop defending ourselves either.
