Rocket Attacks Increased During Truce

by Eric on December 16, 2008

The Israel-Hamas truce, which expires on Friday, can now be looked at retrospectively. The truce was really a joke. In 2008, under the truce, Israel was targeted by over 1,000 rockets more than in 2007.

In 2007, 1,200 rockets and 600 mortars were fired into Israel. In 2008, over 2,900 rockets have been fired into Israel, and the year is not even over yet!

People call this a “relative calm”, but in fact it has been worse for Israelis than the time without the truce. A blockade is not working. A truce is not working. We have tried. I hope the world noticed, because my gut instinct tells me that this “truce” will come to a quick end on Friday.
