Feiglin Outlines Controversial West Bank Plan

by Eric on December 10, 2008

Likud’s new #20, Moshe Feiglin, has always been well known for his extreme right wing views. His political views are much closer to HaIchud HaLeumi, than to most of Likud. This might explain why Likud’s leader, Benjamin Netanyahu, has tried to remove Feiglin from the Likud list.

Feiglin did not wait long to make a controversial remark after the Likud election. He made a rather interesting proposal that has many people up in arms. While I do not think the plan would ever happen, it is interesting nonetheless.

Feiglin proposed that each Palestinian family in the West Bank should be paid $250,000 to move out of the country. At the same time, Israel should annex the entire West Bank and fully integrate the disputed territory with Israel. No more fences would be needed.

What do you all think of this plan? Do you think it would really work? Let us know in the comments.
