India Diverts Iran Bound Shipment

by Eric on November 4, 2008

A shipment from North Korea to Iran was denied entrance into Indian airspace after pressure from the US. The flight was though to have advanced weapons technologies on board.

It is good to see India on the US/Israel side of things. India is the closest thing Israel has to an ally in the region around Iran, and seeing India make a move to ultimately help Israeli interests can help put us at ease.

A few years back Israel was set to sell two AWACS planes to China. The US blocked the deal and the planes ultimately were sold to India. Israel and India have had a relationship going back many years, and I hope it is solidified further in the future.
