Welcome to my second hosting of the Haveil Havalim blog carnival. This blog has developed quite a bit since my first endeavor hosting this wonderful collaboration of posts from the Jewish and Israel Blog-o-sphere.
Please take a moment to read some of my featured posts (linked on the right sidebar). I just finished a series of posts on Israel cities and I am currently in the midst of a series on Israel’s Prime Ministers. I try to write meaningful content here, as I am sure all of our bloggers do. Make sure to get involved in each blog listed here that you enjoy. Every blogger enjoys the comments and likes to know that people are really reading what we write!
As far as the name, in my days as a member of the Jewish fraternity we would follow Yom Kippur with a “First Sin of the Year” party to dirty up our clean slate. While those days are
behind me, I still think the name is clever. Hopefully we will have no sinning here.

I hope everyone had a meaningful Yom Kippur and will have an enjoyable holiday season. As we approach Sukkot, Shemini Etzeret, Simchat Torah, and weekly, my favorite holiday, I hope everyone is finding a way to connect to HaShem. If you are looking for a way to help others in Jewish learning, check out WikiTalmud.com, a collaborative project to bring Jewish text and learning online.
