Gay Palestinians Seek Asylum in Israel
by Eric on October 19, 2008
Gay Palestinians are seeking permanent asylum in Israel because the other Palestinians will kill them. A 33 year old man is asking the highest Israeli court to allow him permanent residency in Israel to live with his partner in Bat Yam.
His own family has threatened to kill him. The only place in the Middle East that is truly safe for a homosexual to live is in Israel. While I do not personally agree with the gay lifestyle, I do support their right to live in freedom and engage in a government recognized union to take advantage of all financial rights that a married couple does. In Muslim countries, homosexuality is usually against the law (against Sharia law if not). These people have to fear for their lives every day.
Just another reason why Palestinians have it better in Israel than in their own territories.
