Olmert Resignation Tendered to Cabinet

Israel’s now former Prime Minister Ehud Olmert announced his resignation to his cabinet today, ending his term surrounded by corruption and scandal. It is about time that this stain in Israeli history comes to an end.
Now majority party leader Tzipi Livni has an opportunity to put together a majority coalition. If she fails, Israel will have an early election.
