Guardian: Israel Asked US for Green Light in Iran

by Eric on September 27, 2008

According the the Guardian of the UK, Israel’s Prime Minister asked the Untied States to support an Israeli attack against Iranian nuclear sites. President Bush said no.

One major fear expressed by the US is that Israel does not have the capacity to take out the sites in one swift attack, and that several days of bombings would result in a full scale war.

I suspect Israel is waiting until after the President election in the United States to make their move. The US will not let Israel suffer a large attack, and once the election is determined, Israel should take Bush’s lame duck period to do what no one else will, protect themselves from certain death.
