First Chinese Tourists to Israel Depart

by Eric on September 26, 2008

A group of 40 Chinese tourists left Beijing Thursday headed to Israel. This is the first group to travel to Israel under an agreement signed by Israel and China in October, 2007.

Israel was added to the list of approved destinations by the Chinese government in the agreement. 40 additional tourists will head to Ben Gurion Airport on Sunday.

In addition to the 40 Chinese tourists, an Israeli ambassador and a handful of Chinese media were aboard the flight.

It is good to see other nations encouraging tourism to Israel.
