EU Says Iran Close to Nuclear Bomb

by Eric on September 24, 2008

EU officials said that Iran is rapidly coming on the time when it will have a nuclear weapon.

At an IAEA meeting in Vienna, the EU released a statement to the world’s nuclear watchdog that Iran is coming very close to being able to build a nuclear weapon.

In the meantime, Iran insists its nuclear program is for peaceful purposes. However, one of the byproducts of a peaceful nuclear reactor is nuclear grade plutonium. I don’t trust a country who’s leaders want to wipe Israel off the map.

The IAEA’s chair has asked Iran to be transparent and open in regards to its nuclear program, but that has been ignored. I am not even sure if I can trust the IAEA to have peaceful democracies such as Israel’s well being at heart when negotiating. It is headed by someone named Mohamed!

Just something to think about.
