Israel To Release 200 Palestinian Prisoners

Israel has officially approved the release of 200 Palestinian prisoners, unilaterally, as a move to build goodwill for a peace plan with the Fatah party.

Two of the prisoners were directly involved in deadly terror attacks against Israel.

I think this is stupid for two reasons.

First, it shows that it is okay to attack Israelis. They can just do a few years and, essentially, get away with it. They will be welcomed back to PA cities as heroes. It also shows that Israel cares more about “peace” than defending itself.

Second, it is a move that only works for peace with Fatah, the party that controls the West Bank. What is the point of a peace plan with only half of the Palestinians. Hamas, who controls the Gaza Strip, does not recognize Fatah President Abbas. Similarly, Fatah will not work with Hamas. Peace with Fatah means very little. Hamas are the ones shooting rockets at us weekly.
