Israel Extends Hardei School Rules

Israel’s government voted to continue to allow Haredi schools to continue to operate without government discretion on curriculum.

Haredi schools teach only Jewish topics, and ignore topics such math, science, and English. Other Israeli schools are regulated and require a diverse curriculum to prepare the students for a productive adulthood.

Do you think that this is appropriate? Do Haredi kids not need to learn about multiplication and science?
