Baharain King: Jews Come Home

In a move highly unusual for an Islamic monarch, Baharain’s King has made a plea for all Jews who have left the country to return.

King Hamad Bin Isa Al-Khalifa is known as a friend to the Jews of his country. He appointed a Jewish woman to be the ambasador to the United States. Now he is calling for expatriate Jews to return.

I think that he is making a great gesture, but it is too little too late for the Arab majority state. Most Baharanians probably don’t line up with the King’s view about Jews. Most hate Israel, despise Jews, and would prefer that they do not return. At this point, most Jews would rather avoid the region as well, nothing personal King Hamad.
