Israel Opens Gaza Boarders at Egypt’s Request

by Eric on July 8, 2008

After a request to do so by Egypt, who brokered the Hamas-Israel truce (which has been very one sided), Israel is opening the Gaza border crossings.

Just more proof that those in power no longer have a backbone. As far as I am concerned, Gazans can create their own economy, their own jobs, and find their own power, food, fuel, and so on. Why should Israel provide infrastructure to a territory run by a group that denounces Israel’s very existance?

It is time for Kadima and Avodah to take a hike. I call for a new government coallition. If it were up to me, I pick Likud, HaIchud HaLeumi, and Yisrael Beiteinu to run the country. I don’t like all of their policies, but they are a realistic government and much better than what is going on now.
