Some British Jews are Apparently Anti-Semites

by Eric on May 1, 2008

It is well known that Great Britain has many citizens that are no friends of Israel and the Jewish people. It turns out that this includes a slew of Jewish anti-Semites.

A group of over 100 British Jews, including academics, actors, writers, lawyers, and politicians, have written a letter explaining that they are not participating in the celebration of Israel’s 60th birthday for political reasons including treatment of Arabs from 1948 through today.

These Jews are not very Jewish. Just after Yom HaShoa, or Holocaust Remembrance Day, a day in which the Jewish people should be united, these people are trying to tear the Jewish people apart.

These people should be frowned upon by the Jewish world. The 60th anniversary of Israel is the most important thing to happen for the Jewish people since the 59th! It should be celebrated, not boycotted. I would expect this sort of thing from Hamas or Hezbollah, not a Jew.
