Kadima is scheduled to meet next week to determine the fate of their party. I believe Kadima will eventually fail as a party, not necessarily due to leadership, but due to moral principals. Likud and Avodah each have party values. Even Meretz, dare I speak of them on this blog, has a purpose. It is a bad purpose, but it is a purpose.
Kadima, on the other hand, had a purpose. The moral fiber holding the party together is lying in a coma in Hadassa hospital in Jerusalem. Airel Sharon, who will always be remembered as one of Israel’s great military and political leaders, was the one thing that united Kadima. Olmert can’t do it, and I doubt Tzipi Livni will be able to either.
Livni is a great modern female leader, though I do not necessarily agree with her policies. Israelis don’t either. A new poll by an Israeli news source shows that Tzipi Livni will become Kadima’s party chair if Olmert is removed in next week’s vote. Additionally, is Olmert is removed, a new election will take place. The predicted winner: Likud! Welcome back Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu.
