None of the security measures we are trying to implement will ever succeed. Building a wall does not prevent us from terrorist attacks, it simply reduces them. We are still hated and our holy city is in ruin. We avoid posting a painful question “Why” because our ego does not want to be confronted with unpleasant answers we might find within ourselves. We are victims of our egoistic nature.

Jerusalem – a center for the world, a holy place for all religions – is in chaos because our hearts are in ruin. The solution to the problem is not here in the corporeal world. We are being pushed to start climbing the spiritual ladder, but we fail to comprehend it. The holy city must be and will be restored, but not before we fulfill our obligation to achieve spirituality and lead other people and nations there… Until then we’ll experience only unrest and pressure…

Michael Laitman says it better than I do - http://www.laitman.com/2008/03/the-spiritual-jerusalem/
