El Al Holds Meeting With Christians

by Eric on April 2, 2008

From the Heeb Magazine Blog:

I sometimes forget that Evangelical Christians make pilgrimages to Jerusalem. Thankfully El Al, Israel’s national airline, does not. The airline recently held its third annual Christian Advisory Board meeting with leading Evangelical broadcasters, including Mr. Michael Little of the Christian Broadcasting Network, which was founded by Pat Robertson and produces, amongst other things, The 700 Club. The airline created the advisory board in 2006 to “facilitate an ongoing dialogue between El Al and leaders of the Evangelical Christian community, communicate how El Al and Israel can better respond to the needs of Christian pilgrims traveling to the Holy Land, and assist El Al in determining how to make a trip to Israel even more meaningful for Christian travelers.” We’re hoping El Al is also courting married Massachusetts gay couples whose unions are now legally recognized in Israel. That would be one hell of a flight.
