Google Maps Anti-Israel Bias

by Eric on March 22, 2008

Google must consider the Golan Heights part of Syria. This map is of the Golan Heights, with the Kineret (Sea of Gallile) at the bottom. You can see the “border of Israel” go around the sea and ends there.

That is peculiar, because when I was there about a year ago, there was no boarder where that solid line is. The boarder was where that dotted line is near Qunaytriah. Google’s mappers must have never been to the area, or they would know where the border is.

This is another example of the world not understanding the situation. The Golan is part of Israel. It was captured in a war and annexed. That is how land battles have worked for the last few thousand years.

So, Google, please remove your anti-Israel bias on your maps. Gaza shows a dotted border, though it is effectively not in Israel anymore. (Not my choice, but that is how it is.) The GOLAN HEIGHTS ARE PART OF ISRAEL.
