I am used to seeing French or Lebanese newspapers writing inflammatory and biased statements against Israel. I am not, however, used to seeing things like this in a respected United States newspaper. Around the world, people are turning off their lights for one hour, from 8-9pm, as an environmental awareness event. This is the second annual Global Earth Hour.
40,000 Israelis in Tel Aviv attended an unplugged concert to commemorate the event.

Hezbollah is reported to have new, longer range rockets. The rockets, provided by Iran, have a 185 mile range. This range covers Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, and Haifa. The range, in fact, can reach as far south as Dimona.
