Near the Kerem Shalom checkpoint, someone shot a 12 year old girl. The shooting yesterday left the 12 year old Bedouin girl dead at her home, which is 300 yards from the Israeli boarder near Gaza. Presidential front-runner Barak Obama stood strong on his position as a friend of Israel. Many republicans have attacked Obama as a Muslim sympathizer and anti-Israel candidate. He claims that he will use his Presidency to strengthen and continue ties with Israel.More on CBS.com.

The Jewish Institute for National Security Affairs published an interesting article discussing rocket attacks from Gaza. While the rocket attacks are not always very destructive, the article argues that they are still a declaration of war. Read the whole article here.

In a quick response to the death of an Israeli student from a Gaza rocket, Israel has killed 14 Hamas militants in air strikes around Gaza. This is a necessary reaction to end the rocket attacks on Israelis.

In a barrage of 20 rockets fired at the Sderot area, one landed on a college campus killing a student. Our prayers should be turned to the family and friends of the student. Israel must continue its current hard-line act in Gaza to stop these attacks. Enough is enough.
